Riley Keough Flirts with Breaking Cannes Film Festival Dress Code in Sheer Chanel Look

NEED TO KNOW

  • The actress stepped out for the premiere of Histoires Parallèles (Parallel Tales)

  • Keough narrowly dodged the festival's "no nudity" rule

Riley Keoughis challenging the dress code at the2026 Cannes Film Festival.

At the premiere ofHistoires Parallèles (Parallel Tales)on Thursday, May 14, the 36-year-old actress appeared in a sheer blush-colored organza ensemble from the Chanel spring 2026 collection.

The set featured a blazer and matching midi skirt, both with embellished trim. Keough wore a baby blue bra and a pair of boy shorts underneath the outfit, dodging the festival's "no nudity" rule.

The star topped off the look with nude pumps featuring a black toe cap, as well as delicate jewelry.

The annual festival in Cannes, France, established a strict dress code last year, banning several red carpet trends, including the celebrity-favorite style, naked dressing. This year, many of the same guidelines are still in place.

Screenings at Grand Théâtre Lumière that are scheduled around 7:00 and 10:00 p.m. require "evening wear," which Cannes Film Festival defines as a long dress or tuxedo. However, the little black dress is another option, as is a cocktail dress.

Other acceptable outfits for these screenings, which the film's artistic teams usually attend, include "a dark-colored pantsuit, a dressy top with black pants [and] a black or navy-blue suit with bow-tie or dark-colored tie," per thefestival's FAQ page.

"For decency reasons, nudity is prohibited on the Red Carpet, as well as in any other area of the Festival," the festival's page reads, effectively reinforcing its policy from the year prior.

Last year, representatives for the festival said in a statement toThe Hollywood Reporterthat the dress code had been updated to reflect "certain rules that have long been in effect," and though it did not seek to "regulate attire per se," the festival did explicitly "prohibit full nudity," for the sake of both the event and French law.

Additionally, "Voluminous outfits, in particular those with a large train, that hinder the proper flow of traffic of guests and complicate seating in the theater are not permitted."

For footwear, those in attendance can wear "elegant" shoes or sandals, with or without a heel, though no sneakers will be permitted. Additionally, any large bag or backpack will not be allowed during the screenings at Grand Théâtre Lumière.

Should any attendee at the Cannes Film Festival fail to meet the dress code, its welcoming teams "will be obligated to prohibit Red Carpet access to anyone not respecting these rules."

For screenings not taking place at Grand Théâtre Lumière, "proper attire is sufficient," the site reads.

NEED TO KNOW

  • The podcast host clarified her disdain is for the Cowboys team, not the city of Dallas itself

  • Kylie previously shared her thoughts on her daughters' future careers, predicting leadership roles and creative pursuits

Kylie Kelcehas one hard-and-fast dating rule for her four daughters — steer clear of Dallas Cowboys fans.

The 34-year-old podcast host and wife ofJason Kelceanswered a fan question on the Thursday, May 14, episode of herNot Gonna Liepodcast about how she'd react if her daughters dated someone from Dallas.

“I'm gonna be honest, this thought has not crossed my mind,” the diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan shared. “Why? I'm hoping that I've raised my children better than that.”

Kylie, who married former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason in 2018, made it clear that her concerns were centered around fans of their rival team, not the city of Dallas itself.

“I'm sure there are people from Dallas, Texas, who are not Dallas fans. So I would consider that a possibility,” she said. “I don't have a problem with … I don't necessarily have a problem with Dallas, the place. Although I don't plan on ever visiting.”

However, Kylie, who is mom to daughters Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 5, Bennett, 3, and Finn, 1, said the idea of her girls dating a Cowboys fan is so far from a reality she could envision that she didn't know how to answer the question.

“I genuinely cannot wrap my head around the idea of one of our children bringing home a significant other and saying, well, they're a Cowboys fan,” Kylie admitted. “Nope. Can't do it.”

She added that between her and her retired NFL star husband, she would definitely have the “bigger problem” with the Cowboys fan becoming a part of their family.

“It's me,” she said. “Jason will be the person that's like, ‘You know what? He seems like a good guy. They seem like a great person.' I don't give a f---.”

In the end, Kylie said she's relying on her parenting to help eliminate this possibility.

“I'm hopeful that we have raised our children with an appropriate degree of disdain for the Dallas Cowboys,” she shared.

Kylie recently opened upabout her thoughts for her daughters' future careers, discussing her predictions on an April episode of her podcast.

"Wyatt is a very strong personality. She is a very good leader. She wants to tell other people what to do, quite honestly," she explained. "But those are good leadership qualities when you want to make sure that everyone knows what's going on and what their job is."

"I guess a CEO. Someone who definitely is in a leadership role," she continued, before sharing where she thinks her daughter will develop her team spirit. "I think that team sports will help her understand the team dynamic a little better, but definitely, homegirl wants to be a leader."

She noted that “animal lover” Elliotte might become a zookeeper, adding that Bennett "will perform.”

“I don't necessarily know that that's necessarily going to be a public performance or if it's going to be on a significantly smaller scale," she explained. "It's her world, and we are living in it. Not in a bossy way, just in a way of like this is me and I am here, and that's that."

PGA Championship golfer overcomes tough penalty over 60-second mistake

Garrick Higgo sat in the scoring tent after his first PGA Championship round in four years was over and made one final plea to tournament officials to rectify the embarrassing mistake he made to start his day.

Higgo, a South African and two-time winner on the PGA Tour, had been penalized two strokes for being late to his first-round tee time on Thursday, May 14 at Aronimink Golf Course.Higgo's group was scheduled to play the first hole at 7:18 a.m. ET. The ESPN broadcast later showed him arriving at the tee box at 7:19 a.m. He eventually carded a par that became a double-bogey 6 on his scorecard once the PGA of America announced the penalty.

"Really inexplicable," said ESPN golf commentator David Duval.

The more remarkable part might be what happened from there. Despite losing two strokes before he ever took one, Higgo finished his first round at this PGA Championship only two shots off the lead when he entered the clubhouse. The experience included Higgo's last-ditch pitch for some leniency under the premise that he was just "one second" late.

LIVE UPDATES:PGA Championship leaderboard, scores, Thursday tee times

"It is a rule and I obviously broke the rule, but it's unfortunate," Higgo told ESPN after signing his scorecard for a 1-under 69. "… One second is tough to define, but I think this should maybe be a minute's grace. There's a bunch of times on Tour we tee off 15 seconds after our tee time, just starters being a little off time or I've definitely had a few times where I've had to say to the starter it's already a minute past our time."

Higgo was on the putting green near the first tee box just before his tee time, but he was not within the area defined as the starting point at his starting time. He was penalized under Rule 5.3a. It defines the starting point as "the rope, gallery stakes, green bike fencing and/or blue stakes, blue dots or blue lines."

The penalty for violating the rule is disqualification unless a player arrives no more than five minutes late. Higgo was able to begin his first round at the PGA Championship due to that exception.

Higgo said he arrived later than usual to the tee box because the weather was cold for his morning start. He "was trying to stay as warm as possible coming from the range," he said. Higgo also watched as ESPN showed his final practice putt from the putting green and admitted he was "running a little bit" to get to the nearby first hole. Higgo later revealed during a post-round news conference his caddie was yelling for him to come

Before Higgo got to the tee box, a rules official alerted him about the penalty for his tardiness.

"He tells me I got a two-shot penalty straight away. It was a little unnecessary, but it's fine. It is what it is," Higgo said. "My caddie was on the tee box. I had my putter in my hand. Obviously I didn't have my watch on me. I didn't have my phone with me. I'm already in the clouds a little bit as it is, so it just is what it is. I don't know what else to do."

Higgo managed the error well, with two birdies on the front nine and two more over his final five holes. He had just one bogey on his scorecard otherwise.

The 27-year-old left-hander is a two-time PGA Tour winner aftercapturing the Corales Puntacana Championship in April 2025and entered this week ranked No. 85 in the Official World Golf Ranking.

"I think it shows a lot of mental strength the way I kept fighting," Higgo said. "It wasn't going to affect my swing or my putting."
